Jamdani sarees found in Fulia or Santipur are made with broken threads. As a result, these take lesser time to make, and the numbers and variety are more. The pricing is also affordable for most. Presently, Fulia Jamdani sarees are made with Handloom as well as Mechanized looms which do not involve artisans. 

To identify a Handloom Jamdani saree from a machine made, weaves need to be closely observed. The weaves in a handwoven Jamdani sarees would be loosely woven, would be minute unevenness in places. Machine made ones have taut weaves with an uncomfortable evenness. Also, to withstand rigours of machine, yarn used in machines is thicker with higher tensile strength. Thus, thicker the threads in the Jamdani sarees, chances of it being a machine made are fairly high.
